Moyo: The Specialty Coffee from Kenya. Grown in the Nandi Hills on Farmer Edward's Lion Hills Farm not far from the legendary "Home of Champions", the Arabica bean offers the highest quality and full aromatic taste: milk chocolate, creamy, sweet! The coffee consists of 100% premium Arabica beans from the Kenyan highlands, hand-picked and dried. The beans are imported from “Mehrwert Kaffee” in Cologne and gently roasted by our friends – the Basilius roastery from Parsberg (near Regensburg).

Moyo means “Heart” in Kenya’s national language Swahili – and there’s a reason for this name: With the sale of every kilogram of coffee 1€ is donated to the charity trust “Tirop’s Angels”. ”Tirop’s Angels” is a cooperation of female elite athletes from Kenya who founded the NGO after the murder of their friend - the former world record holder Agnes Tirop - by her husband. Violence against women and their lack of opportunity for self-determination is unfortunately still a fundamental problem there.

Moyo coffee was established by former German marathon professional Philipp Pflieger who took part in the Olympics in 2016. Through countless training camps in Kenya he got to know the athletes behind the charity foundation in person and was truly impressed by their work and commitment. As coffee, running and Kenya are an inseparable combination, this product was made for coffee lovers and enthusiastic runners alike to make a difference.
